When I open Mapsource, I can select "MyTrails" from the drop down list, but when I do, I cannot see the map like it shows in the instructions. 100K data is almost always less acurrate and more out of date than the trail data in My Trails and NW trails so they should be the first option. Looks like both NG TOPO and Garmin MapSource (either with TOPO US 24k or the free NW Topo maps) might work (except that.
from NW Trails or previous trips) to be superimposed.
Garmin topo us 24k software software#
It has the same trails that are on topo USA. So what Im looking for is software that allows me to print custom maps that are at least as good as the USGS 7 maps that can be downloaded and that allows trails (e.g. Includes terrain contours, topo elevations, summits, routable roads and trails. Ideal for cycling (also: hiking, hunting, camping, and geocaching). This is the highest level of topographic detail available. MY Trails and NW Trail will almost always have the best and most accurate trail data-if there is no coverage, there is also the mapset 100K Trails on gpsfiledepot. Use your Garmin GPS navigate through Colorado and Utah with a highly-detailed TOPO map 24K is comparable to 1:24,000 scale USGS maps. There is also NW Trails that covers the NW and I beleive there is also some trail maps for Canada. If a trail is missing from one of the maps, you can GPS the trail and I can add it to the trail map. Another plug for the maps at gpsfiledepot, comÄon't forget there are also transparent overlay trail maps that show on top of any maps you have on your GPS.
